Mr. Joe Lovato is currently teaching creative writing, english II honors, english IV, and is a puente counselor. He graduated from Piedmont Hills H.S. in 1985 and received a BA english from SJSU in 1990 and is currently enrolled in a master program counselor ed. at SJSU. Some of his past experiences include this being his10th year at teaching english, his seventh year coaching varsity soccer, and has been an adviser to literaty society for 5 years. He also was the class advisor for the class of 96' and 01'. During his free time he enjoys playing soccer, home design /remodeling, graphic design, reading, hiking with his dog, Atticus. His reasons for teaching is that, "It is an opportunity to spend time with people I genuinely like, talkin about things I really care for. It is a plane where it is possible to make a difference in the lives of people. My father taught/coached at M.P. I'm proud to do the same."
