This course is designed to prepare students for college math classes, such as Calculus and Statistics. Students will develop their mathematical skills by creating mathematical models for a variety or situations. Topics covered involve functions, analytic geometry, complex numbers, trigonometry, and emphasize the abstract nature of mathematics. |

Algebra 2 is an elective course that is one year in length. It is the third course in the traditional college preparatory mathematics sequence. The course is an extension of Algebra 1 and Geometry, with emphasis placed on quadratic functions, properties of number systems, structure, logarithms, and graphings (etc.). |

Geometry is a required course that is one-year in leangth. it is the second course in the traditional four year college preparatory mathematics sequence. It includes an introduction to analytic geometry, a study of the structure of logic, deductive and intuitive reasoning, and development of proof and demonstration. |
